Implementing Support for Contingent Workers in Employee Central
Step1. Enable the settings under the Admin Center go to Manage Employee Central Settings under the Person, Employment, and Worker Type, select Contingent Workers and save the changes.
Step2. In Manage Business Configuration, expand the HRIS Element Structure, click Configure New Person Type, and set up the Person Type for Contingent Workers.
Step3. 1. In Manage Business Configuration, select employmentInfo HRIS element, add IsContingentWorker field, label it, and enable it.
Step4. To create a Dynamic User Group, go to Filters > Dynamic Group Filters > Create New, enable the filter, and select My Filter or Permission Group Filter. Choose isContingentWorker under HRIS Field Reference and save.
Step5. Go to Picklist Center, search for Event, and click on the latest version. Add SCWK (hire/rehire) and ECWK (termination) events.
Step6. Go to Manage Organization, Pay and Job Structures, select Event Reason, set the effective date, and update attributes. For SCWK, select Active and for ECWK, select Inactive, then save.
Step7. Create Contingent Workforce Vendors under the Manage Data and click on the Create New dropdown, select Vendor Info.
Step8. Configuring the Work Order UI Go to Manage Configuration UI and create a new UI configuration with the ID WorkOrderPortletForAddNewCWF. In Configure People Profile, add the Live Profile MDF Information block, select WorkOrderPortletForAddNewCWF in the MDF Screen ID, and save.
Step9. In Email Notification Templates, select Welcome Message for Contingent Workers and Contingent Workers Recruit Notification to set up contingent worker notifications. Customize and save the email template for contingent workers, supervisors, and Work Order owners.
